WHO: Katharina and Severus WHAT: a conversation after the other conversation after the therapy WHERE: Severus and Louisa's quarters WHEN: the day after this conversation. WHY: conversations need to be had
Much as Katharina loved seeing Bronte every day, she was worried about Louisa. She had never been big on empathy and she really struggled to understand how Louisa could not love being a mother, but it was clear she did not. Although she couldn't understand it, it broke her heart to see her daughter unhappy. Katharina had hoped that she might be able to help Louisa come to see how wonderful motherhood was, but so far it had not happened. Still she kept coming every day, even if only to make sure Bronte had everything she needed. She at least knew how to mother infants - adults were a different matter.
After flooing with Sabine into Hogsmeade, Katharina walked up to the castle. Severus had often offered to send a carriage but she preferred to walk. Sabine rode a tricycle up the hill, her little legs pedaling furiously on the steep bits. Initially when providing the tricycle, Katharina had hoped this would make Sabine too tired to play up once she got to Hogwarts, but it seemed to have no effect on her energy whatsoever, except for making her hungry. Eventually they made it up to Severus and Louisa's quarters where she knocked on the door, and Sabine bumped her front wheel into the door with a bang.
"Quit it, that door is old," Katharina scolded her. Sabine stopped, but when Katharina looked away she rode the trike back into the door again, slowly and deliberately, looking at Katharina as she did it.
