Who: Lucius & Theo What: Theo working the corners When: Friday night Where: Some street corner Rating: Possibly hard R
9:00 in the evening and Theo had just woken up. He'd had a late night the night before and when he'd finally gone to bed, limping in at 7am, he'd been kept awake in between fitful snatches of sleep with dreams that had him walking and screaming in his sleep, loud enough that he woke himself up in whimpers and hands clawing in vain at nothing. He woke and lfet the room of the squat he was staying in and went to a public toilet to get bathed and dressed, jeans that were skinny as sin and showed how frighteningly thin his birdlike body was, artfully ripped on the knees, at the ass, flashing skin like a stripper. His shirt was the kind that hung off him like it would have done from a scarecrow. No underwear.
He headed out for the corner around half ten, ready for a night of shivering and smoking to keep warm in a body that was cold in even the heat of summer. He had to stay alert, worrying about other whores who might try to take advantage of his questionable mental state to take his corner; staying alert wasn't the easiest thing for him to do and trying to maintain that level of clarity was difficult and damaging, more likely to send him into a bad period straight after. Usually he was with a client by then though, so it barely mattered.
He leaned back against the brickwork of the wall behind him, his body a long line of waiting, out and vulnerable for whoever wanted to pick him up. He was notorious on the public meat market for being a guy that anyone could buy and do anything to - there were very few things that Theo would refuse to do, too desperate for the money and too crazy to be able to protest anyone doing something to him that he didn't want, if he'd even understood what they were asking. His history had led him to think that sex was supposed to be brutal and painful as well, so he didn't protest even the most sadistic partners who could only do what they did to people they bought.
He stood and waited and thought about nothing but the next time he could lie back and take a potion and disappear.
