Backdated to forever ago: The day after Alecto's (and Amycus') birthday
WHO: Carrow siblings, Peter WHERE: Awkward doorway conversation, perhaps? WHAT: Peter picks up Alecto at her house, and will meet Amycus for the first time. WHEN: Saturday evening WHY: Peter just wanted to get this over with, really. RATING: Adult language, no doubt. What's that, PG-13? Yeah, we'll see.
Peter knew he needed to get in the shower. He knew the whole time he was sitting on the couch, that he needed to get in the shower. If someone were to observe Peter in the shower, they might be surprised how...fastidious he was. Every tooth and every nail was scrubbed exactly ten times on each side. Perhaps such a habit wouldn't be all bad, except how long each step took in Peter's total get-ready regime.
Once in motion, Peter filled each moment with useless projections in his own neurotic head about what could possibly go wrong when he picked up Alecto. The thought of Amycus Carrow made even someone like Peter feel a slight slime crawl over his skin, so Peter scrubbed harder. Amycus Carrow was the type of person that you could never believe the rumors about, but yet you suspected the truth was somehow worse.
And yet there was Alecto. She was his way into the position he needed to be in, if Peter wanted to play things out as best he could. A very beautiful and pleasurable way in to the Death Eaters. But their occasional pillow talk didn't was not moving Peter into the correct circle quickly enough. Sooner or later, Peter was going to have to meet Amycus, so he might as well get it over with, and in a quick situation that he had some perceived control over. One of the more Gryffindor moments, trying to push his way into the Death Eaters.
Eventually, Peter completed pulling his hairbrush through each quadrant of his hair exactly ten times. With a final look in his mirror, he apparated to the doorway of Alecto and Amycus Carrow.
