Who: Bellatrix and Rodolphus
What: Figuring out how to make a home, again
When: After very nearly two years on the run
Where: If they told you, they'd have to kill you. An abandoned house with lots of wards so don't go looking for them
Warning: Probably gonna end up naughty. They've been on the run for two years and now there's a bed. And they are married. Don't be daft.
Even if they were technically still on the run, Bellatrix and Rodolphus were no longer running in the literal sense. There was an abandoned house...if you could call it that. Bellatrix was happy to call it that, considering what she and her husband had used for shelter for very nearly two years. Lucius had scouted the place, prepared it for them, and even left a house-elf. Though she had grown up with an exceedingly comfortable lifestyle, after living by the skin of their teeth, Bellatrix had no idea what to do with a house-elf. It was hardly a full time job to clean the two rooms.
Perhaps the elf...Bippy? Boppy? would be of some help in getting them food and collecting firewood. But what would she do? Even though she had put up wards, fortifying Lucius' no doubt adequate job, Bellatrix shuffled her feet before entering two-room habitat. At least when they were on the run there was something to do...going to the next place. They had seen things and run. Sure, it was tiring, but now there would be boredom. And Bellatrix loathed boredom.
But for now, Bellatrix wanted to appreciate the novelty of shelter, there was a roof, walls, and a bed, most important. And the bed had room enough to maneuver; this was no pad on the ground, no hammock suspended, twisting in the wind. A bed with clean sheets and pillows. Facilities. And tea. Good tea. Perhaps they would be able to inhabit the place enough to warm it; Bellatrix was tired of feeling cold. It was all too good to be true, and Bellatrix didn't trust it. She couldn't relax.
Despite her disquiet, Bellatrix took one last careful look around the perimeter of their new home and let her legs carry her through the door.
