Who: Hermione & Augusta Where: Bookstore on Diagon When: Evening Rating: Low Status: Incomplete
It wasn't much of a surprise for those who knew her to realise that when Hermione had headed out she had headed to the bookstore. She figured she should get her hands on some books that were popular at the time as well as see if she could get a newspaper subscription for the four of them. It would be good to know what was going on, especially since the journals weren't used much at least from what they could see and because they couldn't be warded publically there was nothing she could really pick up on to help them. She had at least managed to get them ration books which was helpful but she was also well aware that they were going to have to get another source of income until they managed to find a way home, whenever that might be. In the bookstore she had gathered quite a large number of books - plus she had to brush up on what magical theories were current in today's society just in case, she would hate for something small to catch them out. Though supposedly none of them had attended Hogwarts so it could be put down to that.
Making the pile of books feather light to carry them around the store and then to counter. Once they had been rung up, Hermione flinching slightly at how much of the money they had she had spent in that one transaction she found herself asking about a possible job. The man looked at her oddly before asking why she wanted one. She found herself explaining the cover story she had invented on the spot last time she was in Diagon about being new to town and an independent researcher (his eyes lit up that slightly given it meant she was obviously a hard worker and knew her books) and was short on money. In the end he agreed to give her a trail run starting the next day. Hermione was grateful for that and thanked him profusely.
