It was quite disturbing that they were actually getting on. She'd had the sneaking suspicion for weeks that they did actually like living together though. No, she wasn't about to go telling people that Adrian was an awesome roommate or anything but they had their moments. They were more like-minded that one might have known from first glances. The living situation worked for them. "We're not allowed to admit to anything like that aloud," she reprimanded him. "People might start to think we actually like each other and then all hell might break loose."
She was surprisingly quiet when he flattened himself against. He was cold. She could tell he'd just come from outside. She resisted the urge to pull a blanket up to regain her warmth. She didn't move though. She wasn't in denial. His body felt quite nice against hers after the dry patch she'd been experiencing of late. Barney moved at a glacial speed and there had been a substantial dry patch of nothingness before that. Just being this close to someone made her feel more like herself. She felt bits and pieces of that side of herself floating up to the top.
She offered him a smug smile. "I had to figure out some way to lure you in here," she told him though she really hadn't ever put thought into such. If she'd really wanted him there had been a number of times that she could have just jumped him or interrupted him in the shower. She was mostly being factitious. "I mean why should I live with someone as fit as you and not get benefits out of it."
She was going to hell in a hand basket. That was all there was to up. Frankly, she didn't care though. She'd gone through hell and if she had to be a frequent visitor she might as well have a good time with it. "I might add that you made it all too easy for me. What were you intentions by stealing all my towels?" she asked. "Are you too much of a coward to just make a move if you really want to see me naked that bad?"
And then came another smile.
"Shut up please?" she asked mockingly gazing up at him with her magic words. It did start with an S and end with a -lease. This was such a joke that she couldn't take it seriously. How could she when they were playing around like this and he was requesting her to say things like that. She wasn't going to comply and she certainly wasn't going to act like a five year old because he actually bothered to get naked. She just gave him an appraising once over. There were a million things that she could have said that would have been conceding about his body but she chose to laugh instead as if there were something dreadfully humorous about it all.
