So... maybe it was too much. He was pretty sure Zach did not like the idea, at all - and while they had totally avoided the subject when Neville got to Zach's (because that seemed to be their answer for most things.) Hell, Neville didn't even know why he wanted Zach to meet his friends so much - he didn't even know how to introduce him.
Hey, guys - this is Zach - we have an awkward friendship with not so awkward benefits? or Hey, guys. You remember Smith, right? We're shagging... alot. It's nice. or Oi, hey! Some of you may not have known, but I'm queer and this is the guy I'm fucking.
Yeah... Nev knew none of those really made the grade, but he had to trust what Parvati had said the once about those that mattered wouldn't care, and those that cared didn't mattered... adn while Neville knew this was true in theory, he was nervous because over the last week he'd been... pretty damn happy, actually and yeah, it was selfish, but Merlin, he just wanted to share that happiness and be proud of it. He knew Zach wasn't always the most... amiable (and he'd recounted the punch to the mouth so many times he thought he'd never be able to forget it,) but still, Neville wanted his friends to like Zach like Kimb and Romilda had seemed to like him.
He'd gotten to the Leaky a bit before eight, intent on having at least one pint to himself. He meant to casually broach the subject maybe before Zach showed up, but then Neville worried about what would happen if Zach didn't show up... Merlin, that would burn. It was damn crowded in the leaky and he'd grabbed a table and sent scathing glares to several pushy looking girls intent on sweet talking him out of it. He took a sip of his pint and resigned himself to having a long damn night.
