She grinned and set the cake down on the coffee table before him, trying her best to ignore the fact that he was hardly being happy about anything today. She knew he disliked birthdays and major holidays (and, oh goodness - Christmas was going to drive her mad if it weren't for the fact Georgie was coming home, and that'd she'd probably be spending it divided between her siblings, her mother, Cornwall and Georgie's) but that didn't mean he had to be such a grump. She was making an effort, but keeping it low key - so what was his problem? She understood they'd lost the Catapults/Harpies game, but that wasn't a call for depression.
Sometimes Demelza wondered if she should be a Quidditch player. She didn't seem to be as passionate about it as some people, and, quite frankly, she was capable of caring about things a great deal more than she was doing right now.
