"I just didn't want to be left out, if everyone else was dressed up," Jack agreed, carefully observing Harry's reactions. He definitely didn't want to mess this up, but he also didn't want to go in with the wrong ideas and get himself all banged up too. He held his breath as Harry explained the part about not actually having a girlfriend and relaxed a bit as the answer was revealed. It was what Jack wanted to hear, except, he was Harry's first date? That was somethign Jack had not been expecting, at all. It was just a little slightly worrisome, mostly because this put a whole different spin on things, and how careful Jack would have to be with everything.
Jack squeezed Harry's hand back, placing his other hand on the side of Harry's face and turning his face back gently, so Jack could look him in the eye. "I want to get to know you as well. Let's start there. We can leave the other stuff for later, yeah? You're not a prat, you're nervous and I understand. I've been there, yeah? Awhile ago, but I remember coming out and everything. No one ever forgets their Story." Jack couldn't help but run his fingers down Harry's jawline, now that he was touching him, it would definitely be hard to stop. "Should we eat dinner then? Just talk and stuff."
