Another Soul for Sale Who: Ash and Juno When: Evening Where: Outside of Juno's home
Between the hospital chaos created by some lunatic that morning, and work in the factory, it had been a full day of distraction. For awhile, Asher had nearly forgotten about the letter he'd received from the Council the night before. But it was still there when he got home, though now it was neatly folded and resting on top of the enveloped it arrived it. Molly had obviously read it, but she wasn't in her room when he checked. He didn't so much like the thought of his sister out and about after what happened in the hospital that morning, but he had never forced her to stay in before, and he certainly wasn't going to start now.
After a quick shower, Ash tied his damp hair back into a ponytail and got dressed in clean-enough clothes. Then he was back in the kitchen, lighting a cigarette and staring at the letter. There was a moment of debate before he picked it up again, unfolded it, and scanned the words with his eyes. Juno Vega. Yeah, he knew that name. Short girl, factory worker. Ash didn't know much about her, but he remembered her from the underground fights. She had fought in a couple herself before they found out her power was enhanced strength and stamina. Her advantage over her opponents, even strong men, was viewed as cheating and she was banned from participating. Asher smirked briefly before tossing the letter back onto the table and grabbing his coat.
Because he had lived in the Slums his entire life, he knew just about everyone on some level. So all it took was a few inquiries here and there before Ash was told where he could find Juno. Night was settling in by the time he walked to her house. It looked dark, so he stood outside her door, finishing his second cigarette. Either she would come home, or a light would flicker on inside, but until then, he would wait.
