Liv had gotten off work late - she'd been held back when news of the suicide had broken, in case there was going to be need for military to keep order or cordon off the Wallace estate, but after a little bit of sitting around uselessly, she'd been released. She had guard duty the next day, but it wasn't until later in the day, and so she found herself at odds. She thought about calling one of her buddies, but decided she'd be better off if she went out solo. She didn't feel like dealing with any shit if she happened to meet someone for the night. It wasn't out of the realm of possible; Jonah was at work overnight anyway, and their arrangement allowed for discreet liaisons with others as long as they were safe about it. None of her unit had said anything about it if they'd noticed, and she figured it was better if she kept it that way; she didn't usually shop around at the Double Tap, but it'd happened once or twice.

Decision made, Liv trekked her way down to the Stone Maid. It wasn't the highest class of places, but she preferred things a little rougher around the edges usually. It was how she lived her life, how she'd grown up. Navigating the social minefield of the upper classes was still something she wasn't entirely comfortable with. She preferred an actual minefield. At least she'd have more warning when something was about to blow up.

Heading inside the tavern, she waved away a few hopeful-looking escorts and headed to the bar, ordering a double whiskey and settling in. She'd be there for a few hours.
