It would figure that even with an impending snow storm, Ash would still be out in the mess, working. He didn't complain, however. It was work, it was money, and it was a chance to get the hell out of the Slums. So he pushed himself as he could, until finally the weather got to be so bad that the powers that be called it a day and sent everyone home. After a bit, Asher had on the coat that Teddy's sister had brought him awhile back and started to make his way to the trams. The nice thing about being as large as he was, was that people tended to move out of his way without him having to ask. And, since his day happened to be just as shitty as the weather, the trams were shutting down as Ash arrived. There was a lot of groaning from people who were trying to get home just as he was. Some got angry and started yelling. Glancing up into the sky, Ash could tell it was more important to get inside and hunker down rather than try to take on the tram's conductor, especially knowing that threats of violence wouldn't get the damn thing moving again anyway.
He thought about Molly, and if she was home safe. Ash had never been able to afford a comm, and when he had, he had spent the money on food or a new pair of shoes instead, so he couldn't very well send her a message. All Ash could really do right now was get inside and hope his sister was home, or at least at Esther's house. He turned to move away from the building crowd of oblivious people still gathering on the tram platform, but found himself nearly knocking over someone much shorter than he was. Blinking some snow from his lashed, Asher looked down at Juno, surprised, yet not surprised, to see her. "Trams are down," he said simply, as if she didn't have eyes, or ears.
