Guess what I did today! I went into town and bought some books. I'm going to discover what I like to do. And then I'm going to do it. And I got a cookbook. I'm making something new for dinner.

When she first told me, it didn't make sense. And it sounds much prettier in Creole. As I got older, though, I figured out what she meant. Just thought I'd share that little nugget of granny wisdom.

I had hoped that when I departed New York it might be to return to Gondolin. But I see that fate would not have it be so.

Less this is all that remains of my city. As she will indeed be consigned to the sea.
