She finished her bite, having probably taken too big of one. Her eyes caught themselves watching him again and suddenly felt incredibly guilty over what she was asking. "I don't want to... I can't look at them... They remind me of-" She chewed her lip a moment, trying to decide how to word it all. "They're gifts from a friend who was transferred." Abby said, leaving out the details. "But I don't want to get rid of them... I just can't look at them and Rachel says I should give the box to a friend to hold until I'm ready." She couldn't get rid of them, they were all she had left to remember Jackson... unless by some miracle he was transferred back... but she had a bad feeling that wasn't in her cards.
Of course she left out how Jackson had kinda sorta been her first boyfriend. Though they only started to use that label. Though more than that, he was her first actual friend in years. He'd made her feel comfortable and had helped her come out of her shell- the one she crawled right back into after he left. But that was all information Jason didn't need.
"And no, there's nothing alive." She tucked some loose strands of hair behind her ear.
