“Hey, like I said, just ‘cause you feel something doesn’t mean it’s true. And it doesn’t make what you feel any less valid. I guess I just wanna understand why it matters to you.” Jason’s voice was gentle. “Is Dr Anderson nice, at least?”
He shrugged. “Why would I assume you’re crazy? People go see the psych team for tons of different reasons.” He leaned back into the grass, propping himself up with his elbows. “When I first came to the Regiment, I had to see a shrink too.” He blatantly ignored her attempt to change the conversation; she needed to understand that it didn’t matter what they talked about, the fact of the matter was they were talking. And friends listened. Challenged. Were patient. And Abby needed to know that just because she had some problems didn’t mean Jason would’t be friends with her.
That’d be pretty hypocritical of him.
“It’s not really a big deal. Seeing a doctor, I mean. They’re here to help.”
