C5 | Raven + Gabe
Raven’s gaze swept between Gabe and the stage. While her singing voice wasn’t anything to write home about (nobody was going to be offering her any record deals), she could carry a tune and with enough confidence (of which she had plenty), she could carry off the performance aspect to get through one round of Holding out for a Hero. “Maybe after a couple of other drinks, I’ll grace the room with my own rendition.”
And for many, it’d be their first time hearing Raven speak period.
Smirking, she patted his arm – she still always got a small rush of joy when she felt someone else’s skin against her own, even if it was fleeting – and nodded. “Smart move. I’d hate to have to emotionally destroy you in front of all our peers for ditching me to hang out with the Plastics. That would so not be fetch.”
Raven laughed at all the potential missteps people could – and probably would – take with their karaoke choices. “As long as nobody gets up to sing Paradise by the Dashboard Light, I think we should give them a break. When things start to get rock opera? That’s when we book it. Deal?”
