Gage smirked a little when Marigold used the grip to pull herself to her feet with a smile now firmly in place. She was a new face or an old face, who knew? Gage just couldn't remember seeing her around prior to this chance encounter.
"Damn," Gage returned with a blink of his eyes. "And here I was hoping I would one day reach the peaks of gesticulatory greatness. Guess it's not meant to be."
He braced his hands on the back of his head and shrugged. "No honour amongst thieves."
