All work and no play Who: Theodor Lupei & Lucas Frost What: Training in earnest When: Thursday, early, really early Where: Hologym Rating: TBD
The training as promised had started early, early enough that a majority of Limbo had still been asleep when Theo and Lucas had already matched each other two for two on the point system which had long since been established. It was the first to ten, seemed the fairest way to determine who was the ultimate victor, especially as one was a Super and the other wasn't. Not that it made Lucas' skills any less valid because in fact they were probably more valid, especially as he had no powers to rely on and had to draw on his own skills to survive a one to one encounter with a Super.
Theo was in effect a tank or at least that was what Avery had said and he supposed she had a point given what he could do, but Theo didn't seem himself in the same way as others. Could say he still felt very much like the son of undocumented migrants who knew nothing about making friends, maintaining connections and feeling as though he belonged to something worthwhile. The hologym had at Lucas' instructions been transformed into a large urban type of landscape with buildings and various places where one could hide or take aim.
As always he was surrounded by a magnetic field that pulsed at the edges and he'd already drawn a collection of metal shrapnel to create an ever revolving protective barrier between himself and whatever Lucas had up his sleeve. He'd lost sight of him which in itself was a worry because he was sneaky and the last thing Theo wanted was to be caught offguard, that was how Lucas had gained one point over him. Thankfully it had been clawed back rather quickly and it honestly didn't take long for the points to keep climbing until halfway through their session they were both sitting comfortably on five to five.
And then he heard something, from behind him and Theo's eyebrow twitched until he stretched his palm out to the side, magnetic ripple catching hold of a nearby car door and wrenching it free to draw it inbetween himself and whatever was behind like an additional layer to his already impressive shield.
