Alex doesn't look directly at her, just a little off to the side. It took him a few seconds to react. He shrugged, turning his attention from her and back to the movie that hasn't stopped playing. It never bothered him when someone didn't know ASL, not too many people did anyway.
Plus, it wasn't like she was here to have a conversation anyway. She wanted to watch the movie, he wanted to watch a movie. They'd just keep the other company and watch the movie together without interrupting the other with talking. Alex never liked people talking during movies. Things like that pricked at his nerves.
Beside the movie playing, the only sounds they'd hear was them unwrapping peanut butter cups.
