It was strange to look at Jo and see how much she had grown, since in Sam's eyes she'd always be that little kid sis who was tagging along and trying to get her attention. Now that baby girl was 21, and for a moment Samantha found herself feeling old. Oh the too were only four years apart in age, but still...there Jo was, getting ready to go play poker. "Drifter's that Southern boy with the tats? Think I traded him some Bayou Rum for some of his weed." With a chuckle Sam just shook her head, imagining Jo at the table playing poker with a man who she could barely understand a word that he spoke. "Didn't know gambling was allowed here, but it sounds cool. What kind of stakes are you playing for?"
The question of how she was settling in was a tricky one. Mostly because she really wasn't. Still instead of putting a damper on a fun birthday night Samantha just offered a little shrug before revealing one of her two birthday gifts. With a soft smile the older Wayland's left hand was finally seen...holding an empty plastic two liter bottle. "Happy Birthday, baby girl! Figured if you were going to celebrate, well you might as well do it right." A moment later, and before Jo's eyes, that empty bottle seemed to just magically fill itself full of a bright pink and orange liquid. When it was full at last Sam offered it offer, chuckling once again. "It's my very own blend of jungle juice. Guaranteed to help you get into the celebration mood! Just...well just keep it away from open flames...it's 190 proof and can melt the paint right off the walls."
