"Evolution or not, it's not normal to most people. I don't know about you, but I have yet to find anyone in the normal population who can do even one of the things that most people in here can do. Have you met anyone who can breathe flames? Or fly? Or fuck with your memories? Cause in here, people can do it. And out there? It terrifies them." And it terrifies me too, Tony wanted to add.
Tony rolled his eyes at Mason. "I'm not saying that it doesn't mean we aren't related or... whatever." He couldn't bring himself to admit that this kid sitting across from him was most definitely his twin brother. "But it certainly doesn't mean we're best friends or that you know me any better than the next guy in line." That felt a bit harsh as it came out of his mouth but Tony was only speaking the truth. He wanted to get to know the kid and figure out what happened before and after they were born but there were too many questions that he figured they would never get the answers to. Then again, anything might be possible in a place full of people who had a bunch of random superpowers.
He was starting to think that maybe having a brother was exactly what he didn't want right now. Would it solve the mystery? Would it make him feel any better knowing that his biological brother was out there somewhere, wreaking havoc? What if this could make the both of them better people? Or what if it just meant double trouble? Tony shook his head and just ignored Mason's final comment. "What can you do, anyways? Why do they have you under such a tight lock and key?"
