"Never would have pegged you to be a knight in shining armor sort of guy," Tony said with a shrug. At least this guy seemed to have a shred of decency in him, if only when it came to emergencies. "That was a dick move on their part, but I guess to normal people, this power stuff is pretty weird. I mean, I'm still weirded out by it and I can do stuff apparently."
Tony shook his head at Emerson. "I still wouldn't mess with it. It's there for a reason and it's not so that you can see how many times it can shock you. Although I'm sure you look something like a dog with a shock collar on when it does get triggered." He snickered at the thought of Mason getting electrocuted. Served him right, in Tony's opinion, if he was trying to do something he shouldn't be doing.
Tony grumbled a little when Mason so nonchalantly confirmed his birthday. "Doesn't mean anything," Tony huffed out. It wasn't that he didn't want a brother, or a twin at that. There was more to the story that just didn't make sense and in a world that already didn't seem to make sense, Tony didn't like that this was only adding to the confusion. Life wasn't meant to be so complicated. The most complicated part of his life right now was supposed to be choosing which girl to date and picking his classes each semester. And yet, here they were, locked up in a facility like lab rats waiting to be sent off to some great unknown battle that Tony wanted absolutely nothing to do with.
"Not exactly the surprise I wanted," he countered.
