Tony's face screwed up when Mason said 'dobbed' and he softly repeated it. "What happened?" Maybe there was more to Mason than met the eye, outside of his rough and tumble exterior.
"You're a dick," Tony shot back at him, picking up his own fork to push his eggs around a little bit. He wasn't sure what he thought of the young man just yet but there were points where he could do without him and then points where he didn't seem half bad. Maybe he was the kind of guy you loved to hate and hated to love.
"Don't play with it," Tony warned. "You'll only make things worse." He didn't know that for sure. He had never seen what would happen if the implants were activated but he didn't want to find out, especially with this guy who he now had a vested interest in.
None of the story seemed to make sense. Tony never figured he was adopted. He wasn't identical to his parents or sister but they all looked like they could be related at least. Plus, plenty of kids didn't look like their parents or siblings. But if this kid was trying to say he was adopted and his parents were from the UK.. No, it didn't make any sense, so rather than becoming a bumbling mess again, Tony just didn't comment on it. "December 1st of '96. Do I even want to ask you when your birthday is?"
