Since he'd managed to get slightly more wiggle room in regards to access to powers and the gun range -and an excuse to ignore all of this shit every weekend, Sterling had settled a little more. The problem was that settling started to make his skin crawl after a while.
His access to the hologym was frustratingly limited to supervised simulations and almost all of his power access had to be watched to. And really he wasn't really seeing the point in that, because unless he was getting paid, he wasn't exactly about to go on a wild killing spree. Maybe one or two, but not a spree. And yet he was completely shut down regardless, attitude adjustments were near mandatory (apparently he just had to lie better) and he was to play nice with the little ones.
Since Ellie at the range was side eyeing him lately, like she might actually speak to him rather than avoid him, Sterling skipped going there for the day, opting to visit the gym despite how much he hated them -standing stationary while running bugged him almost as much as teeny bop music.
Even without his powers, he'd learned more than enough from Childs to more than handle himself. Even if he was just playing punch monkey with a weighted bag. He really doubted scaling any of the buildings to hang out on the roof would be at all welcome. But he was fast approaching that state of boredom.
