Cas looked down at her. He wasn't sure, but how could he really admit things he didn't even know were true or not? Gently he stroked her hair after she laid back down, a soft smile rested on his lips. She was so beautiful and smart, maybe not school smart but there were other kinds, and sweet, when she wanted to be. She was his best friend, she'd saved him by finding him on the street. He felt comfortable with her... he didn't need to put on a show with her. She knew almost everything about him and didn't judge him for it.
But she was family, so he couldn't- shouldn't be falling for her... right? Then again, given all of that... how could he not?
"I think if I tell you, it'll only make things worse... or start a fight, or change things, or make the others mad..." Cassidy almost felt his chest tighten as he questioned everything. It was strange and uncomfortable of a feeling. He was always impulsive, no regrets, no shame sort of person, but with this he was in knots. "Because we're family... we're all family and having feelings for you doesn't help us get back to where we were." He took in a breath and bit his lip, realizing he'd slipped up.
