Sandy had no idea how to turn off her immunity on the basis that it wasn't something she could control. She didn't know how to let people in, and to some extent she didn't want to. She liked that her mind was her own, that it couldn't be touched. She supposed that was partly an isolation thing, too. She tucked her hair behind her ear and closed her eyes, listening to Cassidy as he played.
She leaned back against the wall, hugging her bunny against her chest and just letting the music wash over her. Whilst she might not have got the projected emotions, she could hear something in his voice, the song was personal to him, like all of his songs were, but more than that as he sang she got sort of a music video in her head. She hadn't meant to peek, but she did, and the images she saw were of her, of them, before they were in the facility, before they'd been captured. Some of them even before they'd met Alejandro and Tammy and Frankie. Her stomach twisted a little. Those times had been harder, sure, but also easier in many ways. It had just been the four of them.
Before the song finished, Sandy opened her eyes, the memories trailing away with the final chords and she looked over at Cassidy, who seemed to have upset himself with the song. She didn't see the tear, but she saw him dropping his hand away from his face.
With the music hanging in the air, she smiled a little, tightening her hug on the rabbit that was clutched against her chest. She didn't really want to break the silence that was in the air, so she didn't.
