Her first concern was seeing whether her hammer struck the newcomer or not. The last thing she needed on her conscience was another injury at her expense, and this one even more directly inflicted than the last, even if less serious in nature. Luckily for her, Buckley had good reflexes and was able to deflect the attack; a possibility that she could have expected, but she hadn't had time to determine if this was an agent or a handler or someone else. When she did have a chance to see who it was, she recovered quickly from her worry.
Her second concern was who it was that had nearly been hit by the flying tool. They had only interacted once, and it was a doozy. Evie didn't know if he was being intentionally annoying or not, but he came on strong. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but it wasn't her style at all. All she had wanted was to fix a piece of tech that was supposedly broken, and somehow that had led to talk of birth control and beyond. She still couldn't wrap her mind around it. Her expression changed from a wince to a grimace.
"Oh, it's...you. And you have ice powers. That's...cool, I guess," she said, with a little less enthusiasm than one might expect. The pun wasn't intentional, but she accepted it. "Sorry about the hammer." Evie looked around for said tool, to see where it might have landed. It was on the wall. Both red eyebrows raised at that. She hoped he'd have a way to get the ice off of it, or else she'd have to wait around until it melted enough to retrieve the object, and she didn't want to leave without it. If she didn't make herself keep her tools together, she'd never keep track of them.
"Really, that...that's your take away? That I should've cussed?" she asked in disbelief. "Not 'watch what you're doing' or even some joke about 'hammer time?'" Evelyn had to give him at least some credit; not only was he persistent, but he could be unpredictable. Shaking her head, she sighed and walked--lightly, so he couldn't accuse her of stomping--over to where the hammer was stuck to the wall. "Just in case it's why you're here, this isn't the place to bring any of your future girlfriends for some X-rated fun. This is sacred technological ground and I am not cleaning up that mess," she said to him even as she inspected the ice holding the object in place. She poked it to test it, then looked over her shoulder at him.
"Actually, why aren't you at that party? It's supposed to be to welcome the new arrivals." She assumed he wouldn't notice if she left out any of the other reasons behind it. "Free food and--well, probably no booze for you. You look a little underage."
