"Hey, I'm the old biddy right next to you," she countered when she felt the nudge. "The kids here keep getting younger and younger." Kat wanted to comment on how they could probably be their parents but she didn't want to open those old wounds in such a light moment. "They barely got to enjoy the world outside of these walls." She was almost sympathetic with the kids but then again, she was in their position at one point.
Kat smiled and thought back to their heyday, all the parties they crashed but all the parties they were also invited to. "I think you enjoyed taking those dresses off more than you enjoyed seeing me all dolled up," she corrected. "They were fun while they lasted but I like you better now." Kat traced a finger over his jaw line, stroking the beard he was working on. "Sometimes I wonder if people really ate out of the palms of our hands or if people knew we were nobodies from Nowhere, USA."
