“We’re all in one place and that’s all I’m going to ask for.” Because them all being placed on the same floor and on the same team was too much to ask for, they all knew that. She nodded her head firmly. Sas always had a soft voice, cheery without it being overbearing. It made Frankie smile even without her knowing.
Frankie shrugged. “Some people had it worse.” She had no right to really complain. That’s how Frankie felt anyway and so she’d push her pain with the rest of her skeletons. “I learned I can do some cool shit, though.” She wasn’t much for seeing the silver lining in everything, but Frankie didn’t want Sas to worry.
Slowly Frankie stepped around Sas and squeezed between her and the door to get into her room. “My clothes are still in bags.” Just in case they decided to take her away again. “I still have my Ipod.” She dug it out of her pocket, the white cord wrapped tightly around the little device. “They’d have to pry it out of my dead hands and I got a mean death grip.”
