It still managed to take her by surprise, each and every time she felt someone else’s bare skin against her own. Raven had missed intimacy with others, but she hadn’t realized she’d been starved of it. When Aidan took her hand, Raven inhaled deeply, filled with pleasure and happiness, regardless of how simple and mundane it might have been to anyone else.
“Good answer,” she nodded as she continued to hold his hand, smirking as she walked out of the café, leading him all the way. “If you’d have refused, you might have just about broken my heart.”
Not to mention it would have been a shame; with only a short window of time before the switch was thrown and her powers were back on, she had a finite amount of opportunities to get a little closer to Aidan.
