Amber giggled when she was nudged back, and when she noticed how much redder Chloe’s face was getting and how the static was starting to cause her hair to stand on end. She could feel that energy radiating off of Chloe and it made Amber’s expression become severe, if only for a second.
Did they share an ability?
Fortunately, the topic of conversation being boys was a little more familiar for Amber, so she was all too happy to gush about it. “I dunno who Henry is, but if he’s hot and he can cook, even a little, that’s pretty good in my book. And Jay seems really nice,” Amber agreed, waggling her brows again as she linked her arm around Chloe’s as they left the Shop and headed off into the familiar halls of Limbo.
“There’s some guy named Jason—I think he’s from Texas? He’s real cute,” Amber continued. “And the guy with the doubles or whatever? Total babe. The mechanic guy, too. I think we’re lucky here. So, so much eye candy.” Not that Amber had ever spoken a word to any of them.
She shrugged again and broke off another piece of chocolate to plop into her mouth. “I dunno. In my family, having kids young is kinda expected. My brother Will… he’s, uh, got a lot of ‘em. My parents started young. I think everyone was surprised I wasn’t on 16 and Pregnant.”
