The smile that spread across Elena's face was one of understanding and happiness. She usually wore a smile as a mask, but this this one was genuine. From the way he talked about his children, Vasily had much to be proud of about them. She'd never once considered children, but this was only because she was unsure if it was possible for her to have them. The danger involved in carrying and birthing them was frightening to her due to her mutations, but the environment of the regiment wouldn't allow for her to have time to bond and enjoy the child either. She thought it best to not ever have a child so that they would never experience what she has had to endure. These thoughts didn't make her sad. They were merely her reality.
The porcelain woman stabbed a fork at more fruit as she considered how to answer Vasily's question. She'd been shifted around the compound several times, but assumed that she would stay with Charlie now that her environmental controls were installed.
"{I really like Ms. Carson. She is sensitive to my needs, but I know she's probably going to be pushed to get me into combat training now that I'm settled.}" Elena shrugged. It was what it was. "{I assume I won't be reassigned due to the fact that it would require reinstalling my environmental misters.}"
