Holly laughed a little. "You should try using some patterns. It's difficult enough as it is, right? Why not just immediately jump up to the hardest stuff? Try knitting a sweater. That'll make Chloe laugh. Delivering a Weasley jumper for her."
Despite the fact that Holly wasn't tactile, she really wanted to give Kelly a hug. She didn't, instead she reached out and caught Kelly's fingers with her own, a brief squeeze being given before she let go. It was as much as she could do right now; Kelly looked like she was holding it together but the right comfort, from the right person, would cause that facade to break and Holly wouldn't do that to her. Not right now. Not when they had to be together to go get some breakfast.
"I don't think anyone has," she said honestly, "But- I know Evan's gonna be reaching out to Chloe. He wants to help but he's not sure how. So I think he's intending on just... Evan-ing." He had a unique way with Chloe; she'd always liked him better. Or so Holly had felt. Something about the hair. Definitely. "And there's nothing wrong with not having broached the subject with her yet, Kel, I mean, there's- you guys are trying to cope with it, too."
