Michael continued to go on tinkering – and although he was actively listening, he gave off the appearance of someone who was otherwise distracted. He was always good at multi-tasking; in fact, keeping his hands busy typically meant that he could keep his ears open a little better since he wasn’t distracted by the need to fidget or by boredom. Still, the tinkering came to a complete halt when he finally heard Vasily’s request – one that he altogether hadn’t expected.
“The zoo?” he repeated, putting the device down. It was a strange request, to be certain—but given the source, it wasn’t altogether out of nowhere. Pondering it for a few moments, eventually Michael pursed his lips in consideration before nodding. “I’ll talk to Castle about it, rattle off a few emails to the Higher Ups… I don’t think it’s an unreasonable request. You really think it’ll help?”
