Carmine smirked. He knew how fun that raw boost of pseudo-flight could be. In his younger years, when he had been experimenting with it, he had made similarly gleeful noises. Now, he was more subdued in his enjoyment of his powers; but oh, how he enjoyed his powers. He would have watched out for her, but no sooner had she landed and begun her own fight than he had combatants of his own to worry about.
He met them with his sword, digitized steel clanging against digitized steel. Sparks even flew when the swords met; he appreciated all the little details, as they made the experience that much more immersive. Carmine let out a battle cry as he began hacking at the pirate vigorously, most of his attacks blocked or parried. Finally, one struck true, catching the digital persona in the shoulder. He stumbled back, and Carmine charged forward, thrusting his sword into the holographic stomach. While the opponent fell to the ground, Carmine wheeled around to continue his assault.
A sword nearly caught him in the arm. He countered it by thrusting the man backward with his telekinesis, flinging him into a crowd of both his peers and Carmine and Jo's shipmates. Still using his telekinetic force, Carmine then yanked the man back, only to be impaled on Carmine's outstretched sword. "How are you doing over there, lass?" he shouted to Josephine.
