"Sword at the ready," he instructed the short young woman, and that was the only warning he would give her. The boost he provided was an invisible one, courtesy of his telekinetic force. Carmine lifted her off of the ship they occupied, and flew her over to the other one, with the entire process looking--and possibly feeling--like one very powerful and high jump. He made sure that she landed safely, and no sooner had he set her down than he used that same force to knock back some of the enemy opponents to give her room. That, he believed, would buy her some time to get her bearings and begin her attack.
"Oh, and be careful!" he yelled to her with a smirk. "The program can injure you." He liked to have his danger settings on the higher end of the spectrum, even in such a playful scenario; it kept him on his toes. So far in his time at the Regiment he had never seen anyone mortally wounded, but they could come out of hologym sessions with a good deal of pain if they weren't careful.
A long plank was lowered between the ships, allowing the enemy holograms to board Carmine's ship. He laughed triumphantly and charged at them with his sword raised and an, "Avast!"
