Dove was so engrossed in what she was doing, hunting for this noise, that she didn't instantly realise that someone was in the room, or that they were talking to her. Dropping the ceiling tile to look down, a simple smile on her face, even if she was somewhat confused, Dove shook her head.
"No, well, yes, technically I'm perfectly fine. Physically. But I'm trying to find something. Or a lack of something, really." Which made it all the more difficult, right? It was easy to pinpoint a sound and follow it somewhere, to figure out what was making a noise, locate the source. But where there wasn't a noise? What was she meant to be following.
"I'm trying to find a hum, but it's stopped humming. So it's a little complicated." Because there was no hum to find. God, she sounded crazy. "Like, it was there, and I heard it, but I can't now. And I'm trying to find it again."
