As an agent, Galatea felt pretty useless. This was the extent of her abilities. She could sit beneath the water and chill with someone else. Oh, she was sure the superiors could find something useful with her. She could be used to help with underwater search and recovery. She could keep agents alive in extreme underwater emergencies. Those sounded just fine to her as long as they didn't expect her to fight.
The trail of bubbles flowing down from the surface were like an odd string of pearls. A second trail of bubbles was flowing upward behind them as Elena pulled some of the stale air out of the bubble to be replaced with the newer fresh air. The entire motion was like someone aerating a fish tank, but in reverse. The effort involved was minimal, but it was the simple things in life that Elena had always cherished anyway.
