Sandy felt the temperature of the room drop but paid it no mind. She was focused on overwhelming Syreni’s ears with the sound of ringing, buzzing. A moment later, those voices Syreni tried hard to ignore - that called her weird, awkward, that no one would want to be friends with someone like her - were rocketing around too, sounding as though they were being spat into her ears from someone right next to her.
Above it all, Sandy’s voice could be heard, directly in Syreni’s mind [I’ll stop if you say that you’ll leave Scotty alone].
This power wasn’t taxing on her. She could do this all day.
