For all his insecurities, and social awkwardness too, Jester was smart enough to read the signs. In truth the young man half expected her to just get up an leave, yet instead he heard her speak and suddenly felt her hand touch his arm too. Hope flickered for a moment; not in those cold mechanical eyes, but in his facial expression; and the way he smiled slightly. Oh there was no denying that Abby had the power to make him blush with such ease, and as she spoke up once more his skin grew flush. However instead of looking away Jackson's gaze remained transfixed to her own.
Not lame, warm...those were words a far cry away from creepy or unwanted. He felt a twinge of guilt about causing her any measure of confusion, but when she leaned close and kissed his cheek all thought of apologizing...and just all thoughts in general faded away. It took a moment for him to recover, yet at last a tiny giggle was heard as he just grinned warmly her way. Instead of trying to kiss her back; despite the fact he desperately longed to, Jackson sat back once more and just reached out to rest a hand upon her fidgeting fingers. "Honestly didn't make things more confusing for you, Abby. Promise I won't go kissing you again...until you decide it's what you'd like to do."
