Jade nodded, smiling and beckoning with a slight head tilt for him to follow. The aisle wasn’t far, and once she turned into it, she quickly closed the gap between them and the Krispies. “One of the new ones around here,” she repeated. “Doesn’t really narrow it down, by the way. This place kind of has a revolving door. I don’t think it was ever this bad in Maine.”
That either meant that Limbo was one hell of a stop-over for agents, or that Supers were being outed and chained up so quickly that they had to be stored and shuffled at a more rapid rate. Any day now, three or four more facilities were bound to open up just so that the Regiment had more holes to shove them all into.
She plucked a box off the shelf and handed it over to Caden. “My advice is to avoid getting too comfortable here.”
