"Just this once," JP complained half-heartedly, "couldn't you just lie to me?" Though he appreciated Julian's candid nature. Honesty like his was a rare find, and it was refreshing. Plus JP liked spending time with Julian, the guy helped him feel less worked up about the world. And not many people wanted to hang around with him in the middle of the night while he was recharging under a full moon either, so it meant a lot to have a friend that kept him company because it was boring otherwise.
He frowned. "Someone? You know who? Hopefully they're okay and it doesn't happen again because yeah, that sucked."
Huffing out a breath, JP made sure not to look at Julian as he answered, deciding to slump back against the wall instead. "Y'know, I just- it was a waxing gibbous moon last night so I thought it'd be easier to test out that- y'know," he waved his hand again, mumbling, "the lunar vision thing."
