"Gee, Julian," JP drawled, "you sure know how to make a guy feel good." But he knew he didn't look great. He scrubbed his hand over his face and tracked Julian with his eyes as his friend walked closer and didn't close his eyes to the touch to his forehead, not at all. Nope. Not him.
He laced his fingers together and flexing them backwards, feeling his knuckles popping with the movement as he shifted over, indicating with a tilt of his head that Julian could sit down if he wanted. The bedrooms were alright, here, but honestly they were not really equipped for entertaining or company.
"What even happened last night?" he asked, "I was practising a... thing," he waved a hand dismissively, hoping that Julian wouldn't ask what the thing was, "and then I got a splitting headache which broke my concentration, so I got backlash and passed out until this afternoon."
