Remi wasn't sure why but it was hard to talk about her life with her sisters. Just talking about it made her wish that she didn't have to tell them about it. It was just realizing that they weren't around to be there for her due to circumstances they couldn't control. Yet she could feel that they would have opinions on the choices she made her in life. She was used to everyone having an opinion. It was just how life was growing up. "Actually no, I was only married for a year. I've been in the Regiment for two years," she wasn't sure that made it any better. That she was married at eighteen then divorced at nineteen. It didn't seem better than all that happening before twenty-one. Still she wasn't going to lie to her older sisters. She wanted to them to get to know her, not some perfect version of her. She shook her head at the comment, "He wasn't always. When we first met he was sweet and funny. He wasn't like all the guys that were my age. I think that's why I liked him," but he wasn't the one. She wasn't sure why she didn't see before she was married to him. She couldn't change any of that now. |
