WHERE: Hologym WHEN: (backdated) After Paige's arrival WHAT: Dove's getting to train with her powers, Marshall is overseeing. STATUS: In Progress | Clossed VIEW WARNINGS: Destructive powers, Dove being cute, Marshall being stressed??? idk.
The hologym was rather intimidating to Dove -she knew that it shouldn't be, like it was a safe space to use her abilities and it was usually only other supers who would be there, and that likely meant people could defend themselves just fine. But just the notion of it still made her feel a little uncertain.
Marshall's want to train with her, help her figure out her powers, that was putting her on edge too. Not because she was worried she'd not do well, she honestly knew that it wasn't going to happen in one go, she understood that her perfectionism couldn't bleed over into this aspect of things because as much as she might want to learn to control her powers quickly and efficiently and perfectly, it just wasn't going to happen like that. No, Dove's biggest concern was hurting Marshall.
She rather liked her handler; he wasn't rude or crass, didn't yell when something went wrong. She was sure he was firm with people when needed and she had yet to see him in a mission setting, but she couldn't really envision it being terribly different from how he was in general. People didn't change that drastically for situations. So obviously she didn't want to do anything that might injure him, or worse, or make him want to transfer her to be someone else's problem.
But she would need to bite the bullet eventually, and while she wasn't around a dozen other people, risking the entire group with her uncontrollable powers, she was still in this place with possibly the move vulnerable person with their team. Since Marshall was a regular human with no powers to defend himself.
Dove would need to hope that if it came down to it, her limiter could be triggered in time to stop her doing something terrible.
