Nicolette sipped from her coffee again before setting it on the table. Though they didn't see each other all the time, Ash was someone she felt that she could pick things up with as soon as they were back together. That was an odd feeling to have when you're constantly being transferred or sent on operations. She appreciated that the woman gave her the time of day really.
"Not bad. Vasily is teaching me Russian." Nicky tilted her head to the side in a sort-of shrug, her hands on the table opening up as if part of the shrug, "Well, trying to teach me Russian. I'm pretty damn horrible at the pronunciations. And sentences. It's really just a bad time all around." She tried to laugh it off, but it really did bother her that she couldn't pin down the easier parts of learning a second language. Maybe she just didn't have an ear for languages?
"How have you been? Nothing too serious went down last time you left, did it?"
