Hearing him accept her apology without giving her a hard time about it was definitely not what she expected. After a comment like that, she'd have expected some kind of backlash, but to be forgiven so easily? Adam was definitely one of a kind.
Lifting her head, Izzy have him a tight little smile. "Thanks, Adam," she said quietly, telling herself she'd think before she spoke next time. Adam was a great guy, from everything she could tell so far, and she'd hate to push him away by being thoughtless.
"Well, I don't think we're on the same team, but if we ever end up on a mission together, I'll make sure you don't get left behind, and do my best to see that you're not in any more danger than you have to be." It was a small gesture, offering to do her best in a hypothetical situation that may never done to pass, but it was all she had at the moment.
