Nothing about this life was fair. Even growing up, dealing with the divorce and choosing her dad over her mom...losing Lucas, and then all the crap that led to her being arrested and sent here...there were times when Alice honestly just thought that god or fate must have just really disliked her. Even the few moments of happiness were always cut short, leaving her feeling crappy once more. Still the young Frost kept trying to grin and bear it all with a smile. Tried to put on a brave face in public, but in this moment she was to tired to do it.
Already she could feel the tears start to form, but with a sniffle the young woman shook her head. A small round mirror was formed on the floor beside her, and a moment later Alice reached right through it...pulling out a box of tissues that had been left on her dresser back in her room. With the box in hand the mirror suddenly vanished, and after grabbing a few tissues she slowly wiped her eyes and face. Lucas' apology honestly caught her by surprise, but instead of thinking he was just saying those words to placate her, the young woman gazed up at her brother and nodded her head a little.
"This place sucks. But it's...it's not all bad. Just really wish it wasn't hard to be open with others. But every time I start really getting close, well it seems like they are just taken away from me."
