"They'll go through your shit and make sure you're not carrying in any contraband into Limbo. So more like DEA." He chirped rather quickly, like it wasn't expected at this point. People anticipated shit like that if they were prisoners of the government. But he had learned that the other facilities might have been a little bit worse than they were in this degree. Limbo was preparing themselves for SEA to open and for them to show the world that the supers were treated with the upmost care rather than how they were actually treated. Like animals. Lucas wasn't an idiot. He'd heard the other handlers speak of their stays there.
It disgusted him in a way. What humans were capable of when rules didn't apply to them. As if they were more like gods than men. His footsteps echoed in the hallway in a familiar tone as he continued leading her, pointing to signs to get her to more of the common areas like this was some sort of resort than a prison.
"There are some folks that tend to get a little wild. Test the boundaries. You can refuse to work, that's fine. You have the right." At least, in his team they did. Lucas usually found a way around shit to make it seem like it was perfectly legitimate what he was doing. "Limbo is operating under the assumption that the Regiment hasn't been acting like Guantanamo Bay for the last several years." Because of SEA and the impending enforcement that potentially everyone working there would be facing.
"We're much more civil. Though...still kidnapping supers so there is that. There'll always be that cross to bear but think of it this way, Blink, you're serving your country." Lucas stopped, turning on his heels to face her. "Any questions for me?"
