Jo rubbed her neck. “Kinda has to do with how I was caught. Was behind the wheel on patrol, drove right into an ambush. Jeep flipped and I got pinned.” She pursed her lips slightly. “I could have just freed myself, but wasn’t looking to out myself so I stayed pinned for hours until rescue.” Thankfully she was able to control her blood flow to limit how much she lost and keep from passing out considering her angle had her almost upside down. “Little good it did me because by the time I’d gotten back to base all but my bones had healed... which seemed fishy. Next thing I know I’m being transported to holding while I heal then here.” She explained. “If I had known how to dismantle that damn column without just breaking it with my hands I could still be out there with my unit.”
Jo was sad, but had long come to terms with what happened and had done some good in her time and met some good people. And hey, had she not been taken in she probably would have been found out on her birthday after someone finally convinced her to drink and her strength amped without her realizing it.
